He is working with Flow Cytometry since 1992. After completing his PhD and postdoctoral trainings he was appointed head of the Advanced Flow Cytometry Unit where he continues leading research. Since 2001, has implemented numerous flow cytometry applications, making the facility highly versatile. Among new methodologies, he has developed flow karyotyping for chromosome sorting and sequencing and advanced applications for isolating nanoparticles (viruses and extracellular vesicles). Thanks to these innovations together with the most advanced technology and a team of experts, the Flow Cytometry Unit he is leading has become a European Reference Unit for advanced cytometry applications.
