Łukasz Sędek is a graduate of the Faculty of Biotechnology, Jagiellonian University in Cracow, Poland, supplemented with the post-graduate studies on Medical Laboratory Diagnostics. In 2006 he was hired in the Department of Pediatric Hematology and Oncology in Zabrze. Main scientific interest of Łukasz Sędek is pediatric acute lymphoblastic leukemia, both diagnostics and monitoring of the measurable residual disease (MRD). In 2010 he obtained his PhD degree in the field of hematological malignancies. His scientific activity is summarized with the Impact Factor score of 350 and >4000 citations of his co-authored manuscripts. Łukasz Sędek is an active contributor to the country-scale clinical trials involving FC diagnostics and MRD monitoring, as well as to the scientific achievements of the EuroFlow Consortium. Currently his scientifc interest focused on T-ALL and in 2019 he became the leader of the EuroFlow T-ALL Work Package.
