Ana Lebre is an Infectious Diseases Specialist. Currently Director of the Infectious Diseases Service and Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) and Antimicrobial Resistance (PPCIRA) Unit at IPO Porto and member of the Quality and Safety Committee.
National Coordinator of the Stop Infeção Hospital 2.0 Project at PPCIRA/DGS, a quality improvement project focused on preventing hospital infections and a member of the Portuguese Faculty of the European Project Drive AMS, a quality initiative focused on antimicrobial stewardship.
Vice-President of the APIH Assembly.
Was member of the board of the National Directorate of PPCIRA at the Directorate-General for Health (DGS), with roles at national and EU level as National Focal Point for the Healthcare-associated Infection Survaillance Network (ECDC) – Alternate (2017-2024).
