Sara Bodbin is an experienced biologist with a PhD from the University of Nottingham, specialising in gene editing and stem cell models of cardiovascular disease. She worked in analytical development at SmartCella, designing new pipelines for characterising human cardiac progenitor cells, before joining Navinci Diagnostics as an Application Scientist. Passionate about collaboration and advanced technologies, she contributed to the integration of Navinci’s in situ proximity ligation assay (isPLA) technology with other spatial techniques, while also supporting industry partners in their mission to integrate isPLA to their workflows. This work culminated in presenting multiple industry and academic posters at several cancer conferences, and two partner webinars. Currently, she is a Field Application Scientist at Rarity Bioscience, where she drives the adoption of superRCA, an innovative and sensitive molecular tool, in research and clinical applications.
