Prof. Pérez Andrés holds a Biology (1999) and PhD degree (2006). Currently, he is Associate Professor of Immunology at the University of Salamanca.
His work is mainly focused on immune system translation research. Particularly, he has been interested on the phenotypic and genetic/molecular characterization of the human B-cells hierarchy, the evolution of the B-cell response with age and its alterations in immunodeficiencies, autoimmune disorders and hematological malignancies.
He was member of the Executive Board of Iberian Cytometry Society (2015-2022). He has been working for the EQA of the SIC since 2004 and, together with Prof. Alberto Orfao, is now the coordinator of the program.
