Catarina Martins is an Assistant Professor of Immunology at NOVA Medical School (NMS), Lisbon, Portugal. Currently, she is Technical Director of the NMS Immunology and Primary Immunodeficiency (PID) Laboratory, with diagnostic and research approaches to PID/inborn errors of immunity and other immune mediated conditions. She has more than 60 scientific papers published in peer-reviewed high impact journals and presented several communications in national and international meetings. She is a member of the Scientific Council of NMS, coordinates the Biosafety Committee, and is part of NOVA Greenlabs.
Catarina collaborates with the National Accreditation Bodies of Portugal, Ireland, UAE and Slovenia as technical/lead assessor for ISO/IEC 17025 and ISO 15189 and has been a CLSI advisor in the Hematology and Immunology and Ligand Assay Expert Panel. Finally, Catarina is a Vowel of the Iberian Cytometry Society (SIC) Board since 2017, and she coordinates the SIC Accreditation working group.
