Graduated in Medicine from NOVA Medical School in 2013, completed the Common Year of Medical Internship at the Hospital do Divino Espírito Santo, Azores. In 2015, he began the Specific Training in Clinical Pathology at Hospital Senhora da Oliveira, Guimarães, and became a specialist in 2019. He worked as a Hospital Assistant in Clinical Pathology at the Unidade Local de Saúde de Matosinhos and was a Medical Specialist at the Unilabs group, focusing on biopathological interpretation and laboratory service validation, while also managing Flow Cytometry.
He is currently a Hospital Assistant at the Portuguese Institute of Oncology of Porto FG, E.P.E., serving as the Coordinator of the Immunology department and a member of the Coordination Committee of the Pathology and Laboratory Medicine Department. He actively collaborates on several research projects and is also the National Laboratory Coordinator for Minimal Residual Disease research by Flow Cytometry in the CHIP-AML clinical trial.
